I know this is the core audio list, but it might be worth mentioning that the same
holds true for QuickTime playback. CD tracks "appear" as AIF files, so no need to
import/convert for playback. Just open the file and play.

BTW, this doesn't hold true for the Classic Mac OS, only OS X.
