Hi Niko,

well, I recompiled the PB version of Pan from the Logic SDK, and it works now under both Audio Unit Hosting and under Logic Audio. Don't know what went wrong before. Maybe I had a different Pan project (the one from the Apple SDK or something). Anyway, it was not recognizing my plug-in when I tried to load it, even though it was recognizing it enough to list it. (Maybe because one version has 'ACME' and this one has 'acme'???) Anyway it works, but...

Under Logic Audio, when the window comes up, none of the controls draw in their correct locations (and there's no text in the text boxes). As soon as I select a control, it jumps to the correct (default) setting, and lets me change it normally. Also, if I click on the desktop, then the Pan window hides itself. Then, if I click on the Track Mixer, the Pan window re-appears, but the part of the window that Logic controls (the stuff at the top with the title and Bypass button, etc.) does not redraw itself. That looks like a Logic bug to me, as I don't see any way to control drawing that part of the window.

Thanks for all the help,
Howard

Howard,

the problem you have caused by the fact, that no host can instantiate your plugin view. Logic displays its default view, AudioUnitHost displays nothing. what new SDK are you refering to, the Apple CoreAudio SDK or the Logic Platinum Audio Unit 2 SDK?

Regards,

Niko
