Congratulations, iMIDI's taken the place of OMS's old IAC driver ;-)
There've been some discussions about whether we should provide an
equivalent with Core MIDI, but the prevailing opinion seemed to be that
this is a less elegant solution than virtual sources/destinations
(which to use depends a lot on the type of app).
It would be beneficial if every app that takes MIDI input also created
a virtual destination.
It would also be sensible for every app that takes MIDI input to have
user interface for controlling which inputs are active, for many
reasons.

any and all
MIDI data is received by these apps - even if it generated by them.
I know at least emagic folks monitor this list and I would imagine
some Steinberg
people do as well.
How are users supposed to send MIDI data out of these DAWs to other
MIDI apps
if they can't distinguish? Or should all MIDI apps publish a virtual
destination as
standard?
