Jeff -

Is there any plan to fix this? It is a bigger problem because of the
keyboard volume controls. Try the following scenario. I think users will
be suprised!!!
1. Max the OS volume slider.
2. Min the app (Daisy) volume slider. If you are playing in Daisy the volume
will be 0.
3. From the keyboard - press the key to lower the volume.
4. Notice that the starting volume point jumps to the Max volume of the OS
slider and jolts the volume all the way up in Daisy before starting to bring
it down.
5. This behavior makes the using the keyboard controls from inside the app
very unreliable.

I've seen this too (just using Daisy even).

My guess would be that it is a bug in the Sound Prefs Panel/Menu Bar Extra.
They seem to not always respond to all the control notifications. I have
verified that the notifications are getting to them in a timely fashion, but
sometimes they just seem to not cause any reaction. I don't know why.
