Selection of sound source for SPBRecord

  • Subject: Selection of sound source for SPBRecord

OS-X Mach-O application.

I'm using SPBRecord to record sound and it seems to be working but the
resulting sound file is silent. My guess is that it's probably a
question of selecting the right source.

How do I select the sound source (e.g. internal microphone, CD Audio
etc)? Ideally I'd like to offer the user a list to choose from but I'd
settle for some way to select in System Preferences or wherever . . .
but where? On Classic Mac it was in "Monitors and Sound" but the OS-X
"Sound" panel in system preferences offers options relating to output
only.

I notice that the SimpleSound app which was capable of recording, has
disappeared from OS-X.

All help/pointers appreciated . . .
