If anyone is looking for an application to test MIDI drivers or samples of how to use the API, go to http://sourceforge.net/projects/xmiditest/. Sorry that I didn't find this e-mail reflector and get this up here sooner. I actually started doing MIDI before the PDF for the manual existed (and got it working just from the headers); so, I didn't bother to read the PDF manual when it came out (and didn't find out about the reflector).
