It did expose several stereo streams AND one multichannel stream right
from the first version. The multichannel stream is 10 channels
interleaved on output and 12 channels on input (in case of the
Delta1010). You're free to use either stereo I/O or the multichannel
port, depending on your needs.

This was mainly a problem with the asynchronous nature of CoreAudio
format changes. A format change is not processed immediately by
CoreAudio, thus the app has to register a callback which receives a
message on completion.
You might want to get the latest build of our driver which improves
system load and addresses some more issues. Please send an email to

hi
I know this place is not meant for discussing hardware specific issues,
but since
there are not many multitrack cards available for OSX yet, and since I
assume
other audio developers might be interested in the state of the OSX
drivers, I
guess my post is ok. I apologize if it is not appropriate.
We would like to use a Delta 10/10 to test multitrack recording in our
app, but haven't
tried yet because of some posts I saw here where people were complaning
about
the 10/10 driver design (1 device per stereo stream), which makes it
mandatory
to perform queing between different io procs, which our app doesn't do
yet.
Now, I've had a look at the OSX control panel screenshots located at :
http://www.midiman.net/products/m-audio/delt1010.php
and noticed some sweet looking controls, such as "Single and In-Sync",
"Independent"
or "Multiple Card Sync" under the "Multitrack Driver Devices" option.
Does it really mean
the driver can now present a (full-duplex) multistream driver to
userland ?
Also, I see a "Reset Rate when Idle check box" in the "Codec Sample
Rate" , which seems
to address the sample rate problems once mentioned here...
Thanks for anyone who has tested the driver and can confirm those good
news.
Best,
Benjamin Golinvaux
