Getting Icons to show for my MIDI plugin

Is it possible to have custom Finder icons show in the Finder when someone
is looking at my MIDI plugin?
The plugin bundle properties include a CFBundleIconFile property with the
correct icon file name. Which is stored in Resources.
This technique works fine for application bundles; the icons show fine
there.
But the icons just do not show up when looking at the plugin bundle.
Is there some voodoo I can do to get the Finder icons to show up for plugin
bundles?
