QuickTime note allocator is OK

Sorry; should have poured me another cup of coffee - it appears that for
some reason Codewarrior running under X won't step over the QT calls without
an extra click of the step button. Gives the impression that the call is
getting into a loop somewhere. But I now have QT sound working under X, so
all is well... thanks to Bill and Anant for their replies.
