Hi All,
I'm throwing together an Audio Unit as proof of concept for management. I don't have a test bed, just DAVE for testing, black box style. I'm converting to and from 32 bit signed ints, and something is not right. The audio has many glitches, so I suspect the conversion. The algorithms are proven, working in Mac SoundJam, Windows WinAmp, Linux, etc. so I don't suspect them.
I remember someone saying at the WWDC, and I found a reference on this list, that the Float32 audio data Core Audio uses is ranged +-1.0. Can someone verify that for me? Or could it be 0 - 1.0? This does not appear to be documented anywhere, and without debugging, I can't look at the data... If I can show this working, I can probably get the budget to build a test bed (welcome to new millenium coding).
(I took myself off digest mode, but it has not yet taken effect... a direct response would be really appreciated.)
Thanks,
Tracy
