These are some known problems with the Java VM on 10.1

There is an update available for Java (that also includes an updated CAJava)
to work around these problems - you should definitely be running with that
Java update

Bill

I see now that there is a new Developer Java release available on the seed site, but it says it only works with the pre-release of Jaguar, which is not on the seed site. Like I said before, I guess I'll have to wait for the next gift package in the postal mail.

I'm a bit hesitant though, because I read (I think on the java-dev list) that the latest Jaguar release is not very stable and some have recommended against installing it unless absolutely necessary. So, I might live with my current workarounds until the cat-dander settles down a bit.

Thanks,
Scott
