These are some known problems with the Java VM on 10.1
There is an update available for Java (that also includes an updated
CAJava)
to work around these problems - you should definitely be running with
that

I see now that there is a new Developer Java release available on the
seed site, but it says it only works with the pre-release of Jaguar,
which is not on the seed site. Like I said before, I guess I'll have to
wait for the next gift package in the postal mail.
Oh. My aplogies -- I thought Bill was talking about the March "Java
1.3.1 Update 1" that is publicly available.
(I only have the free ADC membership so I don't have seed access as far
as I know. Ah, the low-income joys of being unemployed...)
