OK - so I can understand there is a level of frustration here...
I've made this comment in the past (and I've now doubt I'll have to do it
again:)
You should not consider that an issue that you have posted about to an email
list will be fixed (or even noticed)...
We deal with literally hundreds of emails a day, and it is very easy to
overlook a report of a problem when it is buried in emails. Often we do
respond (and I try to make a point of responding directly to the poster when
a bug is reported here to tell them I've either fixed it or noted it)...
The absolutely and only sure way to report a problem to Apple that ***you***
care enough about to see fixed is to file a bug report.
There's a web site:
http://developer.apple.com/bugreporter that has been
established for developers to do this and we (ie. Apple) are insistent about
our developers using this because it is FAR TOO EASY for reports in emails
to be lost... (and this happens unfortunately too often - and its no-one's
fault to be honest - it is not a good process to follow in general) -
witness your level of frustration with this issue.
Filing a bug report also has the added benefit that you can track the issue,
and when we believe it is fixed you get the bug back to say "Yet it is
fixed" or "What are you smoking... Can I have some"!
Finally we have processes that need to be gone through, so even if a problem
is fixed it may be some time before you actually see it appear in a release
(particularly with dot-releases as there is some stringency that is applied
to what is accepted for those releases)
(Of course you may have already filed a bug report - in which case shame on
me - but I did a search for it and couldn't find one)
