This should mostly be fixed with the QT 6.0.2 update, but the default reverb level is still too high on a Jaguar install and we will have this fixed in the next Jaguar update

That workaround works well for general playback, but it doesn't help when
actually composing notes and changing notes. It's really important to be
able to hear the note when writing it or changing it. With the excessive
vibrato (and reverb?), the notes sound about a half step flat. This makes
composing in a normal fashion almost impossible. This bug also affects
Sibelius's Scorch plugin which makes their SibeliusMusic.com website useless
for anyone using Jaguar.

In the meantime, Sibelius has already published a workaround: In
Playback Options under the Playback menu, uncheck "Send reset
controllers at start".

I am also one of the Sibelius users affected by this bug and I am
really
excited to see a fix on the horizon. So would this fix be in an
update to
OS X (like 10.2.3) that we should expect in a month or two? Or would
it be
to Quicktime which could be released at an earlier time. I'm
wondering how
far away such a fix would be because I might need to reinstall 10.1 if
it's
not expected anytime soon. I understand that new software takes lots
of
time to test. I am really happy right now knowing that Sibelius will
eventually work again.

Thanks, Tim Soslow
