I have a feeling that was why Doug was being so coy :-)
But if it is the case why aren't they shouting it from the roof tops?
Yet another
standard being lead by Apple! Can somebody put us out of our misery? I
don't
have two Firewire capable computers lying around at the moment.
Of course it still needs a cable ;-)
Robert.

From what I understand of what is mLan, mLan is just a software
protocol over Firewire.
I see no reason why two Mac using only one Firewire cable and nice
CoreAudio/CoreMidi drivers could
not exchange MIDI and Audio from any application, as if the other
computer was a standard Audio/Midi device.
That what looks great in mLan.
Just like "VST Link" but much better and much more standard...
But maybe I am completely wrong.
