Has anyone tried to put a bug in regarding the obnoxiously loud fans? Can you even put bugs in for hardware issues?

Regardless, maybe if a large number of people added bugs then they'd get the message (if they haven't already heard the equally loud complaints on Mac news sites).

Amen! The mirrored-drive g4's are *even louder*! Just spent the price of
my new mirrored-drive G4 *again* to acoustically isolate it... I couldn't
even stand to do regular work (like surfing for pictures of Britney Spears)
next to it, much less even think about mixing projects.

It's so bloody loud I initially thought it was a defective fan. These new
G4s are keeping SCI (www.custom-consoles.com ... Check out the Isobox) in
business.

Definitely OT, but a huge issue (IMNSHO) for everyone in Pro Audio on Macs.
Maybe we can reconfigure the deflector array to emit a tachyon pulse?
