multitap example and Logic

I've just downloaded the CoreAudio SDK and compiled the multitap delay AU example. However, having copied the resulting .component to /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components, it does not appear in Logic. All the other AU's I've downloaded from the net and placed here appear just fine. Is there an issue with the example and Logic?
