It's more than just a question of CPU power. What if I *like* the
sound of the lower-quality effect?
As a user it would be annoying to have done work anticipating a
particular sound from the plugin, then find a different sound when the
mix is bounced to disk.
I think you could solve this problem by creating a "render quality"
parameter and let the user have complete control.
