This is a bit of a tangent, and rumors are of course worth what you pay for
them, but this posting appeared on the max-msp mailing list recently:

I'm sure that no-one at Apple can comment on this, but it is somewhat
curiosity-provoking that a hardware vendor is making this assertion.
