Brian,

The 3D mixer will accept either mono or stereo input. You should set the
stream format on each input to match what you're providing in your
user callback. This may also explain the weird sound you were getting
before...

As mentioned earlier, I was using the StereoMixer, which I passed inflated interleaved samples (I converted mono to stereo in the input callback.)

All my samples are mono, and I want the channels equal to better show off the panning (which is what happens now, when I can figure out how to get the panning to work :) )

Is there a way I can tell the 3DAudioMixer to accept mono samples?* Without putting a conversion unit in-between that is -- I can do that in the input callback with low overhead.

* I _assume_ the 3Dmixer takes stereo samples, there's no documentation and it seems to take the same input as the stereo mixer.
