Conflicts with MOTU Midi Driver

My USB/MIDI driver (for a hardware unit that transmits MIDI via USB) is
now working well, but I have just discovered that when the MOTU MIDI
Driver is loaded (micro express plugged in and powered up), then, in my
driver, calls to ReadPipeAsyncTO/ReadPipeAsync/ReadPipe all fail !
That is when the MOTU MIDI Driver is present, USB reads from issued my
driver code fail, async reads timeout and synchronous reads never
return !!!
When the MOTU driver is not there, all is well and my driver works ok.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this ?
Anyone from MOTU out there who can let me know what might be happening
here ?
