Hi,
on connect.apple.com there's a sample project called "Cocoa in Carbon",
quote:
"Demonstrates how to use a Cocoa user interface in a Carbon
application. See the seed documentation for details: Inside Mac OS X:
Integrating Carbon and Cocoa in Your Application."
I have gone through it and it shows how to use a Cocoa window to drive
a carbon Application. As I havn't found any hint on not providing a
view instead of a windowref, I'm not too sure if it would work in AU.
Especially the tying of parameters to control objects might be a
problem.
Anyone with more experience on that?
Cheers,
;) Urs

Hello,
Of course other people on this list know my complaints about having to
use the Carbon APIs, so it's nice that other people feel the same way
:) It is disappointing to hear you might have to use them for
interface elements too!

Hello
We have some already existing plugin views coded in Cocoa (using a
proprietary
sdk for host<->plugin integration) and we'd like to turn them into
AUs.
Right now, the way we AU interfaces need to be implemented enforce
the use of
Carbon, am I right ?

Thanks for some info
