I'm in the process of cleaning up, documenting and preparing to release
my PYMIDI Framework which is a set of Objective-C classes providing a
nice interface to CoreMIDI and easily supporting some generally useful
MIDI things: archiving/unarchiving of endpoints, user selection of
endpoints, handling of devices going offline or coming online, etc.
This is the framework that my apps SimpleSynth and MIDI Patchbay are
built upon.
I'm looking for volunteers to beta-test the library. I'd love to have a
couple of people with established MIDI apps have a go at porting across
to it, and I'd also love some new MIDI developers to try it out. (You
don't need to have a knowledge of CoreMIDI to use the basics of the
library.)
It will be freely available, although I may consider charging a fee for
commercial projects that want to use it.
I should have a beta version ready to go within the next couple of
weeks. Drop me an e-mail if you're interested in testing it.
