ok
My objections hadn't been for cpu usage though (wasn't there something
called G5?). - If a plug knew about a voice stealing situation in
advance, it would be clever to fade out that voice quickly to avoid
annoying clicks. My kids do some pretty heavy stuff now for this case,
just because they don't know it in advance, and they don't like to
render clicks 8-)
He, if a host sends them a CPU load order, they'll fight back with a
NULL pointer 8-)
I prefer to let the user decide which quality he likes... (and they do
also, if I interpret some forum postings right)
We do *not* expect that AU's are given scheduling information beyond
the next buffer.
ok - makes stuff easier. But then again, for which buffer is it when
non-thread safe stuff interrupts the process or vice versa?!? - If you
say no here, you should say no there 8-)
The Queued events - well if they are being queued (the API is called)
outside of the render thread, then by definition the event was queued
in the past:) so, we'd always expect these to come in with a sample
offset of zero

Cheers,
