Furtherly, if two components conflict (identical
type/subtype/manucode), Component Manager will load the one with the
higher version number, or it becomes a bit undeterministic.
You specify all of these in that strange looking .r file. - Yes, it
looks awesome that the second set of defines overdubs the first set.
But that's just not true, no magic applies: There's another file loaded
inbetween that deals with the first set of defines, then with the
second set.
Make sure each of your AU projects includes its correct, unique file.
Maybe you have copied the first project to start the second, and the
import paths (in target section of ProjectBuilder) had been absolute.
Hence there's a big chance that both AUs import the same identifiers...
Identical Bundle identifier will probably only become big hassle if you
try to load resources. Dunno what happens then...

AUs are Components handled by Component Manager and so, like all
components, they are identified by type, subtype, and manufacturer
codes.
Regarding which AU is recognized, the bundle identifier I think
shouldn't
play any role, only the above Component Manager identiers.

Exactly what identifies an AudioUnit?
I have two plugins, but only one of them is loaded (in Logic 6.1,
Rax, Spark etc). If I remove one of them, then the other loads fine
and vice versa.
As far as I know, it's the bundle identifier specified in
the info.plist. They're different, but still there seems
to be a conflict. Is anything else used to identify the plugin?
