There is a link to the Sound Track "Apple Loops" extension to AIF files
that can found at

Is the spec for the AIFF/AIFC format as currently implemented by
Apple apps publicly available (free or for a fee)?
I've seen this question posted before but haven't seen a
definitive answer or URL.
In looking at AIFF files provided with Soundtrack I'm seeing things
that aren't mentioned in either the old AIFC spec found online or in
the QuickTime / Sound Manager documentation - chunks like
'basc', 'trns', 'cate', and 'JUNK'. If these are application-specific
things
I'd expect them to be buried in an 'APPL' chunk, but they're not.
Thanks,
Chris
