audio output interfaces

  • Subject: audio output interfaces

I have been searching for a multichannel analog audio out solution (24-bit/96kHz) with at least 8 stereo analog outputs (16 total channels) but the only device I have found is the MOTU 24I/O, which is an all-out rack-mountable mixer.

All I need are 16 or more outputs via PCI or FireWire that I can control using CoreAudio.

Does such a product exist, or will I have to pay for all the features of the 24I/O just to get enough outputs?

Thanks in advance to anyone who knows this stuff and can send me in the right direction.
