Does it mean that a connected mLan device automatically appear in CoreAudio/CoreMidi
devices lists ?

Yes

My Firestation appears and is recognized but that's it.

I suppose that mLan devices like Yamaha interfaces need some supplementary software
to access the extra features (mixer, effects...).

Yes...

Well, although it is recognized, nothing at all is disabled except the ability to choose the device.

Sliders appear, checkboxes etc... all disabled.

No application, including the sound control panel can play to it or get input from it.

I don't think so - but the driver guys who wrote this also keep an eye on the list, so they may have a comment

Wow!

Maybe they can tell us if the Firestation is even supposed to have input or output at all at this point.

Thanks,

Aron
