OSX Quicktime Music Preferences

Hello,

I have posted on this issue before. The Quicktime Music Preference pane has an option for selecting an external synthesizer. In OS X 10.2.4 using Quicktime 6.1, this currently only supports software DLS type synths. I would like to drive an external Yamaha Disklavier from midi files using Quicktime via iTunes. Will Quicktime music preferences ever support external synthesizers in OS X? If so, when will this happen? I've been told this was to occur with OS X 10.2. The above all works well under OS 9. Thanks for any help on this issue.
