Hi David,

You can use AudioUnits. There is a selection available by default with bandpass, parametric EQ, matrix reverb, delay, 30 band EQ, and more. I don't know anything about Quicktime (and know little about AUs presently).

Apple's has provided sample code in the latest CoreAudio SDK available on the developer connection website I think, though others can better point you there.

Hello to everybody!

I am new to the CoreAudio and I have a little experience with QuickTime. I am looking for documents or examples on how to build a SOUND pass band filter on Mac OS X.
Is there any example or doumentation about this?
Further, I've seen that there are several functions in QuickTime, such as MediaGetSoundEqualizerBands, MediaGetSoundEqualizerBandLevels and MediaSetSoundEqualizerBands. I used them in a Cocoa application successfully. More, I used also the siEQSpectrumBands with SndChannel.
But these things are useful to build a graphic spectrum, I mean to analyze the input and to display the result.
What about a filter?

Thanks a lot and I will look for your asnwers.

David.
