I know that there is a driver for the stealth card, but the problem for me is that I have the g4port and I can't get this card to work with my Studio 4 in OS X. If someone knows how, please let me know.

In August last year there was a discussion here about the Midiman Midisport 8x8 midi interface and how it worked in OS X. I am just about to sell my 2 Opcode Studio 4 interfaces (lack of OS X serial drivers) and buy USB and I don't want to waste my money so...

There was a recent announcement (on this list) about serial support being available from GeeThree currently for their stealth cards - with other vendors to follow shortly.

Is there anyone out there using Midisport 8x8 with Mac OS X and Cubase SX, Logic or any other app? Does it work, any known problems? Is the Midisport OS X drivers recently updated and will they be in the > future?

Next question is maybe a little of topic but here we go anyway :-) Do I really need the 'LTB' function in Midex 8? I am always recording 1 midi track at a time and when the track is edited I record it as a audio track. The point is, there is not much midi going on in the cable compared to the old days when hard disc recording was not that common and lots of synth played all at the same time. Or am I wrong? Midisport 8x8 is inexpensive, Midex 8 is expensive so why pay the extra money?
