I've just read AudioUnitDevGuidelines.pdf [1], and along with another info source [2] I can't remember, I found that the Custom GUI of AUs is called "advanced" in [1] or "expert" in [2].

So, has this any link to the "expert" flag of parameters infos?

Hehe, and while we're at it, how are multiple AUViews ("beginner", "expert", "ill-minded", "are you a musician or what?" 8-) expected to be handled?
