Hmmm, you could printf the ComponentInstance pointer to the console. Then you launch a little commandline tool you've written in about 4 minutes which takes this number as argument. Your command line tool does nothing else than calling AUParameterSet with that argument and some reasonable values.

You don't seriously think this is going to work, Urs ???
This is MacOS X, not MacOS 9...
