real time audio capture/echo cancellation

  • Subject: real time audio capture/echo cancellation

Can anyone provide pointers on how to capture real time audio from a
hardware source (e.g., microphone) using the Core Audio API's? I have
looked at documentation, and downloaded the Core Audio SDK, but am still
not sure where to start. I think I just need the right entry point to get
rolling.

Also, I noticed on promo materials for "iChat AV" some discussion of echo
cancellation for speaker-phone like operation. Is this capability available
in the core audio API's?

Tim
