CFM AudioUnit

Hi,

Is there any reason why an AU can't be CFM ?
AU is basically a Component. According to the documentation a component can
be either Mach-O or CFM. The only problem I can see is the render notification
callback function.
In AUBase::DoRenderSlice the AU notifies all the saved AudioUnitRenderCallbacks.
This call can be any combination of CFM and Mach-O which might lead to crash if
it's not properly glued. Am I missing something obvious ?
