AU, threads, system calls

Hi all,

I have a question about when an AU can assume that it's safe to make system
calls, in particular CurResFile()/UseResFile(), and GetGWorld()/SetGWorld()?

I've been seeing a lot of crashes in Logic that seem to be related to my
plug making these calls at times where it perhaps shouldn't... thoughts?
Shouldn't it be safe to make these calls any time outside of the "realtime"
(audio rendering and midievents) contexts?

Regards,
Angus.
