Probably the CodeWarrior installers should install them too or at least

I suppose the CodeWarrior installer should _tell_ you something, but for
various reasons I believe anyone doing development under OS X should do a
full install of the developer tools, and keep upgrading the developer tools
version.
There is just too much you are missing otherwise, including much sample code
that comes with ProjectBuilder projects. Even if you use project builder
for nothing else, having it for the sample projects has been incredibly
useful and I highly recommend it to all developers who might otherwise use
only CodeWarrior.
I often port the sample code (or needed portions of it) into CodeWarrior but
it is nice to get it just _working_ first (under project builder) before
taking that next step.
