Thanks, that explains a lot. I read only the comments in the source code and created a new UUID in the source code but did not copy it to the .plist. You're right, I did not read DriverDevelopmentNotes.rtf. Mea culpa, and thanks for the most polite "RTFM" I ever read ;)
However - is a crashing MIDIServer an appropriate reaction to invalid UUIDs? Is there no better way to deal with that?
