iTunes changes volume name?

  • Subject: iTunes changes volume name?

I'm trying to test some code that works with audio cd mounted volumes. I've since found that if iTunes got its hands on a disk previously and identified it through CDDB that that disk seems to always mount with the album name, instead of the generic "Audio CD x".

Although this is a great feature in general, it's screwing up some tests that I have in progress. Does anyone know if there's a way to purge the "volume name translator" or whatever it is, or disable the feature?

I'd ask on the iTunes list, but I suspect that's more for users than developers.

Thanks

- Tab
