Hmmm. I find that a bit confusing.
I'm looking for the file format specification that Apple uses to define
patch-banks (the patch names, patch number, bank names, bank numbers, note
name, etc.) for CoreMIDI devices.
The FAQ regarding XMF doesn't indicate this is what this file format is for
at all. XMF type 0 and 1 (the only two types currently specified) appear to
be intended as a replacement for the existing standard MIDI file spec which
is for describing a MIDI *performance* not device-description data.
Or did I miss something? Perhaps one of the unannounced types of XMF is
what Apple/Motu is using for device-descriptions?
