Has anyone ever tried to use the debugging versions of the system
frameworks? I have been playing around with it in CW 8.2 and I don't seem to
be able to link to anything except the normal version of the frameworks. I
figured out that you can click on the area next to the version of the file
you want to link to under the link icon in the Frameworks Tab, but if I
select anything other than the normal library, I get link errors. To keep
this on topic, for example, if I try to link my app to the CoreAudio_debug
library in the CoreAudio Framework, I get an error:

The supported method is supposed to be to set the DLYD_IMAGE_SUFFIX environment variable to "_debug", however this doesn't work due to bugs in 10.2. The currently recommended way is to manually swap the framework's binary.

Reality is what, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.
Failure is not an option. It is a privilege reserved for those who try.
