Yes,
from the specs it's clearly clear (huh?) that you can have different
*alternative* views. For instance you could have 4 views, like
"general" and "expert" in both Carbon and Cocoa.
However, I think it's not intended to have different views for an AU
opened at once, they are meant to be alternatives.
I should perhaps explain a little more about why I'm looking for such an
app. My plugin has a pretty large number of parameters some of which I
expect to be 'automatable' or controllable from some external surface or
controller. So what I'm looking for is a way to 'simulate' that without
needing to go to the expense/hassle of setting up such a device with
Logic or similar.
Bascially I'm looking to make sure my parameter listeners are triggered
correctly and 'good things' happen.
It'd be good to know that the multiple view thing works properly too of
course though that's not so much a driving concern at this point.
It sounds like Rax might do something like what I want - I'll give it a try.
If you need multiple windows at once, you can open them from within
your common view. But this is generally considered not-the-best-idea.
Oh no - not doing that at all, that's not what this is about (trying to
stay as far away from this rat-hole as possible 8-) 8-)
Cheers,
