Yes,
from the specs it's clearly clear (huh?) that you can have different
*alternative* views. For instance you could have 4 views, like
"general" and "expert" in both Carbon and Cocoa.
However, I think it's not intended to have different views for an AU
opened at once, they are meant to be alternatives.
Unfortunately, there's currently no host available, but from what the
grapevine says, it should be comming eventually. - Maybe you could
tweak AUHosting and make the tweak available?
If you need multiple windows at once, you can open them from within
your common view. But this is generally considered not-the-best-idea.
All in all, we can do a lot of stuff, but we should never forget we're
doing plugins, with all the ups and downs these might experience...
Cheers,
;) Urs

It seems as though creating multiple instances of an AudioUnits custom
UI all 'connected' to the same edit (processing) AudioUnit should be
feasible. In fact a generic view and the custom UI for the same edit
unit should be possible too - correct ?
Is anyone aware of an application which supports such a thing ? Has
anyone tried to tweak AudioUnitHosting to do this ? I couldn't see a
way for Logic to give me it's 'generic' view and the custom UI at the
same time though you can 'flip' backwards and forwards between the two
- but perhaps there's a trick ?
Thanks
