I'm getting close to releasing a new plug-in which will be the first
that I think is worth charging a little money for. Unfortunately I know
nothing about either the e-commerce side of things, or the technical
aspects of time-locking software, license keys etc.
If anyone can give me any pointers I'd be very grateful.
I'm not thinking of charging much (I may even make it shareware i.e.
voluntary payment) so whatever solution I go with needs to be
cost-effective for small payments.
I'd also be interested to know which of the following people think
works best:
- date-limited demo (e.g. works for two weeks then dies)
- time-limited demo (e.g. works for 10 minutes every time you run it)
- crippled demo (some features disabled)
- unusable demo (e.g. audio cut-out every 10 seconds)
- nagware demo (fully featured but with an annoying splash screen, like
Graphic Converter)
thanks,
os.
