Unresolved Icon Matter

Hello everybody,

I am trying to add icons to my plug ins with no luck. Having gone through the mailing list the problem as of January 2003 seems to be unresolved. I have looked in the Carbon mailing list but haven't found the solution there either. The quick solution is to copy and paste the icon to my bundle but that is then not the defualt icon and it can be erased.

Having read some of the posts, people say that I need to place the icon.icns file inside the Resources folder of my bundle. However my plugin shows as a document and not as a directory, so I cannot get inside the plugin to place the icon file in the resource directory.

There are quite a few plug ins out there which seem to have this problem fixed. How have they got arround this?

It would be useful if somebody who knows more about this topic can post the solution on this mailing list for all 'newbies'.

Thank you
