Sorry for the OT but I'm trying to track down someone who's doing
cross-platform development with PowerPlant and PortAudio.
I've been getting a bunch of requests for both a Windows version and a
ReWire slave version so I'm pondering doing both at the same time - for
a 2.0 release.
Currently ReVision is built using QuickTime, ReWire, Cocoa and
CoreAudio.
The new cross-platform version will use: QuickTime, ReWire, PowerPlant
and PortAudio.
Unfortunately I'm not familiar with PowerPlant or PortAudio - so I have
a couple of questions:
PowerPlant is a cross-platform framework? I.e. I can build my UI on my
Mac and then compile and run it for Windows? (I just found one website
that said the PowerPlant runtime for Windows is $50,000! - that can't
be right can it?)
Is this a good approach to solving the problem?
Thanks - and feel free to respond off-list.
Robert.
