EXS24 and Garageband

Title: EXS24 and Garageband
Can anyone tell me how to get Garageband to load EXS24 instruments.

I am trying to create Garageband instruments and I can see that Garageband uses some version of EXS file with a text file with UNIX coding in it...but how do I make these files?
