MusicSequenceSaveSMF type 0 or type 1

Hi,
Is there a way to save a sequence with type 0 or type 1? A user is requesting this. Or do I have to squish everything in one track and hope it works, yet it may not work, unless I somehow indicate that it is a type 0 or type 1. Anyone?
