MusicPlayerSetPlayRateScalar Bug?

  • Subject: MusicPlayerSetPlayRateScalar Bug?

While experimenting with the MusicPlayerSetPlayRateScalar function I am seeing real problems if I try to change the rate while connected to an external device (via MusicSequenceSetMIDIEndpoint) and the player is actually playing. After a few rate changes the output gets completely mucked up, especially if I go from a slower rate to a faster rate. It sounds as if the sequence is playing at both rates at the same time. If I change the rate while the player is stopped or if I use the internal synth (via an AUGraph) then it works fine.

Is this a known problem or is there something else that needs to be done apart from just changing the rate?

thanks!

Peter
