As its a "private" data that you are sharing within your own plugin, then I'd be tempted to use the "Application Support" directory - though there is no hard and fast rule about this.

We've generally used the Library/Audio directories as "public" data/binaries that need to be shared...

I think Application Support folder is used for this, but I'd like to see it somewhere in Audio folder.
